Cake Fix

Absolutely scrumptious.
So I've finally succeeded in making a rich, moist chocolate cake, courtesy of a recipe by Andrew Shotts at FoodandWine.com. In my previous post, I mentioned I was going to follow Nigella Lawson's old-fashioned chocolate cake recipe. It was quite disappointing as the cake turned out to be very bland and dry and NOT chocolatey at all.

Shotts' recipe hit the spot in terms of texture, taste, and overall chocolate fireworks.

And remember my Lemony Snippet entry? Here's how my lemon cake looked like:

Cake makes the world a happier place :)

Same same! I love cake too. I think you can possibly start an entire blog about that and have a bunch of devoted followers, hahaha! The lemon cake looks yummy!!! Cake with milk cake with milk cake with milk! (Have you read Harriet the Spy? You'll enjoy her - she's as big a cake fan as you are!)

Ooh! I'll check her out :)

Cake with milk it is! My favorite, favorite combo is chocolate cake and strawberry milk. It's like eating Neapolitan ice cream, but with a different texture.

A cake blog would be too dangerous for my waistline hahaha! But who knows? Though I'd probably only do that if I lived in Manila again. I still think we have the best cakes out there!
