M is for Makeover!

Say hello to the new NyMinuteNow.com: beefed-up and turbo-charged!

I still have to add a couple more things here, but for now I like how this looks. Part of my blog makeover is moving my Inquirer pieces to a new home, BeautyInTheBigApple.com (coming soon), wherein I will properly archive all the beauty articles I've written for the broadsheet—so I could focus on other things here. Watch this space please, and I'll keep you all posted.

This lovely new template is courtesy of blogger-templates.blogspot.com. I have a newfound respect for people who are extremely good at coding (or even just know how to do it). I've had to unearth the modest HTML that I know to get this Mmmakeover up to par. I've also had to create a backup blog in case I totally messed up and lost a year's worth of entries!

I remember in the early days of Blogger, you had to figure out how to add photos and links and all that. Back then it was already a big deal if you were able to add pictures to your posts. My, how blogging has come a long way, eh? I'm pretty thrilled. I just wish I could be more diligent and enterprising. But I'm happy with what I have now. In the words of one of my magazine/beauty/fashion mentors, "There's lots of room for everybody"—which I think is in the same vein as "There's always room for improvement" a.k.a. "There's always time for a makeover!"

WOW! It looks so good! Where did you get it, and was it hard to shift to a new template? I am oh so bored with my black blog!

Oh, and it was fun having you and Alvs over! =)

Nice one! I had a time when I kept changing blog templates. Mine's rather minimalistic now. :-)

How did you get your URL like that? Without the .blogspot.com.

Hi, Chinachix! Thanks for dropping by, glad you like the makeover ;)

Neighbor! Thanks! :) You know how much your opinion counts since you're a superfab blogger! I had a wonderful time at your lovely home, thanks for having us over! I was telling Alvs that I hope our future apartment will be as nice as yours :)

Re: new template, it's not hard-hard, just tedious since I had to back everything up in case I accidentally erased everything. But you can also just access your Google cache for sidebar links you may lose during the 'transition.'

宝茹, will drop by your blog after this :) About a year ago I got the domain name http://nyminutenow.com from GoDaddy.com, updated settings, etc. But now you can buy your own domain name directly from Blogger. They've also partnered with GoDaddy but if you buy from Blogger, they already take care of all the settings—and all for just $10! Simply go to your Dashboard/Settings/Publishing. The Blogger Help forums also help if you get lost along the way. Have fun! :)

I love this high impact blog template! I'm sure you're enjoying the weather (isn't skin in humidity so much better?), your family time and just catching up in general. I came from the beach and tried Strip, a bikini waxing service in The Fort that opened last November. So nice to walk around half naked after months of winter.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! :) I just looove wearing a single layer of clothing versus the hat-scarf-coat shebang that only feels novel as a tourist—not when you have to deal with it for months on hand. And you're right about skin in humidity. Love, love the 'glow' our tropical climate brings. Thanks for dropping by :)
